Muttshack is an animal rescue group that is working in LA to help
prevent what happened after Katrina in 2005. Please view their video at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHBRECU7vLE.
I would like to say that FERRET is also offering support to Muttshack
for any ferrets that are found or need assistance. Two ferret owners,
Susann Theil and Debby Osbborne, are both trained to assist in animals
in disaster situations. If YOU would like to be involved, there are
several websites that let you know how and where to receive this
training and with whom you can volunteer.
What are your state requirements? Check out

for some great links.
You can also check locally to determine what is available in your
state. Start here: http://www.ncsart.org/
Scroll down to the US map and click on your state.
