Just a quick note to let everyone know the ferrets are here tonight,
all asleep and settled for the night. There was only time to do a quick
assessment but will do a thorough evaluation tomorrow. There's at least
two adrenal kids, the sad little girl will have her glucose checked
tonight and soup. The majority have good weight and soft, silky coats.
One big boy couldn't stop licking my arm. The biter didn't bite. Yet. J
This is a sad situation for the ferrets and their "person" that the
ferrets had to be surrendered. They obviously had love and good care,
it's not a neglect situation.
I know rumors are flying and some have been flamed already. Imagine
the pain and heartache the person who had to surrender them is going
through. It's not an easy decision to decide to surrender the little
ones we love so much but sometimes, life, age and health happens that
we have no control over. These guys need new homes, preferably private
homes with lots of the tlc they're used to. I hope everyone will think
first of the ferrets. Please let me know if you can take some of these
kids.
Thanks to Vicki getting the ball rolling on this and to Julie for a
very long day of driving!
More tomorrow night after we get to know each other.
Hugs to all,
Jackie
