I feel like my heart has been ripped out. Yesterday I took my 4 yer old
Stormi to the vet for adrenal surgery. I called for an update and the
vet told me he was out of surgery and coming out of anesthesia. Twenty
minutes later I got the call every ferret owner dreads.....Stormi had
taken a turn for the worse and had passed. I am one of the lucky ones
who has never had this happen after a surgery and I was in shock, as
was the vet and his staff. We were al in tears and I still am...I
thought I was trying to help but in the end I didn't. The tumor was
fairly good sized so I keep telling myself that I was not at fault but
I feel a sense of guilt that maybe I waited too long despite the fact
he was hardly showing any signs...rest well my boy until we meet
again...everyone give your fuzzies an extra hug tonight.
