Ideas for thanking a vet:

Find out what is special to them personally and give a gift related
to that. For example, my vet loves sea otters, so notecards, pictures,
etc. are always welcome.

Donations to their favorite charity

Sometimes the best of all is a heartfelt personal note of thanks,
especially after you've lost the fight to save a furry one. I sent
such a note after a long and hard fight against insulinoma, and it
was very much appreciated.
