A warm bath in oiled water works very well for mites. When I had
hedgehogs they came to me with mites and I let them swim in warm water
with vegetable added. I dipped a cup and made sure they were covered
with the mixture and let it sit on them for a few minutes before
rinsing. They were a little greasy but it did a job on the mites.
