In relation to traveling with ferrets Kim had some fine tips but unfortunately included: >Lavender oil is a wonderful calmative, tiny dabs on their bedding >before travel will also soothe them. Both lavender oil and tea tree oil are anti-androgenic (not the problem in this situation) and pro-estrogenic (which is potentially a problem for ferrets). In ferrets many of the serious symptoms of adrenal disease are linked to too much output of these hormones (esp. the estrogens for most) so it seems like using something which might by itself cause an increase in estrogens might not make the best sense. There are also listings in the Ferrets Annual or Critters Annual, in that case put in by the vets themselves. Those resources will help you in finding a ferret vet.
