Saturday, June 21st...a VERY RARE hurricane hit Cairo, Illinois... the
town may NEVER be the same...i know the household of Tommy and Kat
Parsons will not be...
Hurricane Renee touched down sometime Saturday morning...and departed
mid afternoon....hardly there long enough to do much damage...but
definitely long enough to steal some hearts!!!! and make one little
ferret VERY happy...
while the pleasure of Renee's visit was wonderful...and the lunch was
great...it is the little heart that Renee took with her that will be
remembered most....
I am convinced that when we rescued 'Squiter [pronounced Skeeter]
last August that we were just the holding place till Renee showed up
and took over his care...while we loved him...we never 'bonded' with
him...nor he with any of the others in his krew...it seems he was
just meant for Renee...i hope she feels the same way about it....
it all felt so natural...i never intended to give her one of my
ferrets...we are not a shelter...to adopt out ferrets...but we do
rescue when needed in this area...but...it seemed right to tell Renee
she could have him if she wanted him...
anyway...Hurricane Renee did hit town...was gone all too quickly...and
while it did not feel like a hurricane while she was here...thinking
back on it...it now does seem like it...
thank you, Renee...for coming to see us...my sister REALLY liked
you...how could she not? and you know how i feel about you...
i fell in love with you Skitch...and that 'monkey' who could escape
the ferret room so readily!!!...LOL...
love,
Kat, in southern illinois...
