Good morning all,
I thought I would share with you that our little Charity finally lost
her battle with cancer and passed over to the bridge last night.
Charity died quietly in her human mommas arms, just like she lived, no
muss, no fuss. Charity came to live with us after being dumped with her
friend at a Petco in Jefferson City MO. Her previous owner couldn't
even be bothered to leave her name or age. It made no difference to us,
one look at that little light sable face and we gave her a forever name
and home. Her friend Hope passed away earlier and when we take her to
be cremated today we will have their ashes placed together in the same
urn, so that they can be together in death as they were in life.
Charity was a sweet little gal, always trying to momma any other babies
that came in or any sick fuzzies. She would lay beside them and lick
their ears and clean and groom their faces. She never met an enemy,
she got along with everyone. In December she had surgery to debulk the
tumor we had known for some time that she had. The vet said she had
several tumors and there was nothing that could fix them, that she
would not live a month at most. Charity came home and acted as though
she never had surgery, she went right back to being her old bald self,
eating kibble right away. Then 3 days ago we noticed that she wasn't
eating as much nor wanting to get out of her hammie to nose around.
Last night she just wanted to be held in my arms and so that is where
she left that tired, sick body and went to the bridge to be with Hope
once again. I know that she is over there now playing happily with Hope
and Bob, her two favorite buddies ever. Know that your momma misses you
Charity but knows that you will be happy with your fuzzy friends until
we see one another again.
Sincerly Kim
