I really came down hard on the local TV reporting of the Va Beach
rescue closure. I had copied much of the FML and sent that to the news
department of Channel 12 (NBC/WWBT) and called the news several time
having several long conversations with each and different people.

Just now they showed much more footage of the removal of the live
ferrets that happened over the past few days but they did state that it
was a rescue shelter and that Carol had become far too ill to continue.
Was not the very best but they did come clean with explaining it was a
shelter and that this happned from the owner falling into some very
hard times.

Is very sad any of this happened at all but to have the news put
sensationalism into it for reader hype is not right. I at least got
someone's atention and they cooled their jets big time and did turn a
corner on their news blurb giving Carol a much better image than they
did in previous statements.
