I'm confused about the litter pan comments. I've have no problem
getting both the standard corner pans in there as well as the small
rectangular cat pans - which is what I use. Yes, the doors are hard to
open at first but the more you open them, the more they loosen up. I've
heard of people saying their ferrets have popped open the doors - only
to find out they hadn t been closing them all the way so the little
handle thing at the top is UNDER the bar. In about five years of having
my cage I've never had a ferret manage to get a door open.
Someone sent me an email of some pics of modifications someone
else made to their cage - sorry I don't know who you are because I
accidentally deleted the email and I have my email program set to clear
out deleted emails once I close the program. In one of the pics it
looked like the person had put the cage floor pieces in upside down -
maybe so the grooved floor was on the bottom? That was disturbing to me
if that is the case because those floor pieces snap down onto the bars.
And in the picture the tabs weren't snapped onto ANYTHING. They are
merely being held in place between the front and back of the cage. A
ferret jumping onto that level from an upper one could end up having
the floor fall and he could be injured. So whoever you are - PLEASE
fix those cage pieces before somebody gets hurt!!!
