I happily take care of 14 ferrets, and all are due (or over due) for
their annual canine distemper. This last year has rendered me disabled
and I lost my house, so I am having a problem coming up with the money
to get all my fur-kids their shots.

We foster animals through NorthWest Animal Control, and they offered
to get the distemper vaccine direct from the same place the vet does,
but under a discount ($5 a shot) which would help a lot.

Since my wife was vet tech for years and can give the shot, my only
concern is being 100% certain they are getting EXACTLY what they need
and not the wrong shot.

So that's my question. Does anyone know the exact name, or is canine
distemper all I need to know?

Also, one of my little guys had a reaction last time, so him we'll have
the vet do it so he can be watched afterwards since it would likely
happen again. I would appreciate any tips, additional questions, or
advice on this for the things I haven't considered or don't know to
look out for. Thanks.

Jason
