With high levels of Lasix ferrets do need potassium BUT too much
potassium is also dangerous. Solution that works for most: banana!
Solution that works for those who will not use banana and are getting
high levels of Lasix: use SMALL (very small) amounts of Nusalt in
occasional meals as directed by vet. Been there... (BTW, the banana
we have found to have best acceptance w ferrets is slightly greenish
fresh fruit and just let them nibble on it for a bit. We have also
used banana yogurt when push came to shove.)

Ferrets on low levels of Lasix are fine.

[Moderator's note: If your fuzzbean will eat it, I suggest Hass
avocado. Not only is avocado higher in potassium but it's also
high in fat, which is more easily digestible to ferrets. BIG]
