At the Symposium it was stated that a fret's gut would be empty in just
6 hours. No ferret should be without food and water for more than that
time. Also I perosnally believe that 4 hours is usually long enough
fopr routine testing. I personally do not keep any fret without water
for longer than 4 hours. They can dehydrate very quickly due to their
fast acting metabo. rate. Thats just me but 6 hours is tops for
fasting. Thank You
