ferrets but the SPCA thinks they can handle it on their own. Remember,
they aren't our biggest fans :) We've exposed a lot of not so ferret
friendly behaviour of theirs many times in the past. Though I wish we
had a better working relationship with all the OSPCAs, it's just not
something that has happened. We've been in touch many times about these
ferrets offering help, food, support - anything. We're always told to
back off. [...]40_4Mar200720:44:[log in to unmask] 0703 2908 27 33_Authority to seize abused [log in to unmask], 4 Mar 2007 04:03:41 -0500705_- >From: R Downs <[log in to unmask]>

This story could serve as precedence for the local Ohio SPCA or humane
society to step in and seize McKay's ferrets. From the information that
I posted here a few days ago, information that was obtained online at
the animal cruelty laws website, the local ASPCA or Humane Societies in
Ohio have the authority to investigate and/or make arrests in animal
cruelty situations. This link, while not in Ohio, shows that it does
happen. The fact that McKay is a breeder does not exempt him from laws
against animal [...]48_4Mar200704:03:[log in to unmask] 0703 2936 18 70_Question about the Dm farm and the breeders that have bought from them12_D K [log in to unmask], 3 Mar 2007 09:28:43 -0500466_- Ok, I have a question about the DM situation.

Why haven't the breeders that bought ferrets from Mr. McKay come
forward to back up or disclaime the conditions seen by the Michigan
Ferret Rescue and others? Why aren't they getting involved?

I have never purchased a ferret from Mr. McKay, but I personaly have
purchased ferrets from a couple of breeders that have McKay's ferrets
in their background according to the pedigrees I have. [...]48_3Mar200709:28:[log in to unmask] 0703 2955 8 21_Photos of D.M.'s [log in to unmask], 4 Mar 2007 06:09:44 -080099_- Debbie Fuller states that "photos have been posted." Where?
