Good question about bone meal. I wonder, too, because I sometimes make
turkey gravy instead of the much longer and messier chicken gravy. I
use three one-pound tubes of the cheapest ground turkey and half the
additional BCCG ingredients.
I put the turkey in a crock pot, break it up and cover with water. Put
on low heat overnight or several hours. Allow to cool some, then put in
a large bowl and add the other stuff and more water . Let the kibble
soak up, then transfer to the blender or Vita-Mix and let it run until
smooth. No bones or skin but I use it mostly to give the pred so it
doesn't matter. I pour it in to flat-style ZipLock containers and
freeze it, a pint in each. Then thaw as needed and make small ice
cubes
My kids like it just as well as chicken.
