I have a squirt bottle filled with water and when the furkids get into
really rough play with each other, I spritz them with a good shot from
the spray bottle (adjust the nozzle to stream). When they start dancing
around after that, they come running to me and that is when I have
the squirt bottle on spray. I spritz them with a fine mist and they
absolutely love it! I tell them I am spritzing them to help them grow.
They run and play with each other and come back for more, jumping up at
the barrier. Six of my younger kids are in our dining room during the
day where there are huge windows about one foot from the floor almost
all the way to the ceiling. There is also a ledge the whole length of
the windows and wall that is about 8" wide where they play and hide
their crocheted eggs behind the curtains. They can look outside to view
a fish/koi pond with a fountain in the center that is level to the
windows. I have a big dishpan that has water in it, so they can drink
or play in it, with a towel underneath so they can dry off. We have
radiant floor heating, which is under the floor heating and it stays
warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The floors are Italian
ceramic tiles, so we do not have to worry about it staying damp. When
spritzed they will run through their 20' clear tunnel or their 3 way
twister tunnels. These guys have a ball and are out 12 hours a day.
They fall asleep during the day behind a grandfather clock on the
curtains (they are extra long panels on the ends). They also have
sleepsacks, blankets, etc. and a big huge cardboard box with a little
cutout door where they alsd hide their crocheted eggs ( I shake them
out of the box almost every day and they pick them up shake them and
put them back in the box or hide them behind the curtains) and they
also go in sometimes to either hide food or play/fight.
If you have an area that will not get ruined by water, play spritz the
ferret, try it and see how much fun they have and you watching them.
Start with a very light mist and make sure they are not in any drafts.
