Just a quick note - today we took in the remaining group of 5 ferrets
from Kim VanderLaan ( used to run a ferret shelter in Florida &
Michigan) - She had been trying to place this bonded group, the last
of her shelter ferrets, for several months to no avail! She had posted
them here on the FML and many other places, but no one wanted a group
of 5 older ferrets.

She was a very good ferret mommy & brought lots of goodies for them 
and was sad to leave.

We are looking to raise funds for the 8 new ferrets we took in this
month to get their physicals & any shots/meds they may need. A couple
are adrenal for sure and will need implants ( Kim did have a couple of
those for us- yeah!) and more may have insulinoma and who knows what
we'll find when they get checked!

There are the 5 from Kim, 2 from a young couple, and one that was
found as a stray.

This brings us up to 22 rescued ferrets here among the over 200 rescued
exotic pets!

All will have pics posted on our website by the weekend.

Their names are Bear, Snow, Felix, Oscar, PJ,(these are Kim's) Stormy &
Moonie are the couple's, and Misty is the stray.

They are all having a blast in the free range ferret room too! Today
they got new toys and a treat of peanut butter!
