The first time I heard a "bark' was when I came upon my deaf boy, Ivan
unawares. Of all my hearing and deaf kids,only Ivan and Pepe have ever
barked,and only when surprized by myself. I scopped the poor boy up and
held him close only after he stared hard at me for a while as if to say
"Moma, don't DO that again!"
