We finally worked it out to get the little sick ferret named
Princess to the rescue. Thank heaven she was ADV negative. The folks
surrendering her showed up at the house Sunday and the girl I have been
dealing with didn't even come in. When we talked on the phone she had
promised to bring $100.00 to put towards the Vet visit, but instead her
boyfriend came in smelling of booze and handed us the poor little girl
and $10.00 saying here is a donation to help your rescue.He also had
the nerve to ask if they could have her back after she was better???

Upon a closer look she could hardly walk and she showed signs of hair
loss and hind end weakness. Dr Mecheal was suspecting an injury, not
adrenal disease so we decided to do some x-rays. Sure enough there is
evidence of this baby either being stepped on (hard) or being dropped
repeatedly. She has major scaring and loss of disc space in her lower
spine which is not repairable. We are starting her on Medso ease the
stiffness and she will be a permanent addition here. I did get a hold
of the girl who finally admitted that she allowed her 4 year old son
to play unsupervised with Princess and that 3 months ago she found her
injured and pooping blood but never took her to a vet.

Please say a little prayer for this VERY SWEET little girl that we can
give her a good quality of life. She is only 2 and should not of had
this happen to her.
