Dear Jetzabel H.,
There are many on the FML who are willing to help you find a doctor
for your fuzzies. Although I noticed that my vet has already been
recommended, I don't think a name an address does him justice. Dr. Tom
Greek is the best ferret vet in my opinion as well as that of many
other ferrents. I know some who will drive over 90 minutes just to get
to his office. Aside from being extremely knowledgeable, he is good
natured and honest. Dr. Greek has your pets' best interest at heart and
will only recommend what is necessary or beneficial. He is not in the
business of racking up your bill with false hopes. This man not only
tends to my pets, but also provides free medical care to the rescue
animals that I bring to him. Unfortunately, there are too many to
count.
Reading that you are in southern California, I think that you may enjoy
joining OC ferrets. The group meets every other month to share stories,
advice, and friendship. The people are friendly and knowledgeable as
well. Check them out at www.ocferrets.org .
By the way, Dr. Greek is currently working out of Diamond Bar while his
new office building is being completed. He will then be in Yorba Linda
near SAVI Ranch. I truly hope you make an appointment to meet with him.
Until his new office is completed, I believe that he is only available
at the Diamond Bar office from Thursdays to Saturdays. Remember, this
is temporary.
Anita
