[log in to unmask], 24 Oct 2006 14:18:38 -0700465_- The ferret community lost a wonderful friend, supporter and shelter mom
yesterday, when Rebecca McFarlane unexpectedly passed quietly in her
sleep.
Final arrangements are incomplete at the time this is being sent, but
will be shared when known.
Rebecca's husband, Larry, and their daughter, Sara, are continuing to
care for the roughly 30 ferrets Rebecca and Larry have had in their

0610 17798 20 24_Ear Sucking-- Question??13_SYBIL
[log in to unmask], 24 Oct 2006 21:38:47 -0500502_- Hi to all:
I was wondering if anyone can possibly answer my question before I go
to the vet... I have four ferrets all around a year old, and recently
one of my boys (Wilbur) has started to suck on the ears of the other
three ferrets. It is to the point where I am worried it may cause the
other boys stress and I am not sure why he is continually exhibiting
this strange (new) behavior. Has anyone ever seen this and any
suggestions what might be going on with Wilbur? [...]38_24Oct200621:38:

[log in to unmask], 25 Oct 2006 01:20:49 -0400545_- We were at the vet earlier today. Our vet was talking about Spleens.
He said when they are removed theres nothing wrong with them, and that
he wished they did more study on this. His thinking is this...maybe
it might have something to do with the grain in the kibble we feed our
babies.
Mind you this man is the head vet at the Zoo,has his own vet hospital
and is the head vet at a emerg hospital,So he IS a smart man. I just
wanted to throw this out there and see what others thought. I asked
about the Ferret [...]43_25Oct200601:20:

[log in to unmask], 24 Oct 2006 09:49:05 -0400581_- 'Hi Friends - Blossom here,
Well we have some not so wonderful news and some better news today.
Not so wonderful is that One of our elder hospice kids Crackers at St
Gregory's House , left for rainbow bridge on Friday. Crackers was a
gorgeous dark sable ( late alter boy) who found himself homeless four
years ago. He arrived at the shelter with his brother and Agatha at
Ferretstock. There were no empty cages at the shelter and Agatha has a
biting problem, so hospice Momma Judy took all three over to St
Gregory's! Crackers has been sad since [...]47_24Oct200609:49:
