Renee Downs has been to the Bossier Animal Control, where the ferret
and pit bull pup involved in the baby toe incident are being kept. She
brought good quality food and bedding for him. She was not allowed to
see the ferret, and no determination has yet been made on what will
happen to the animals. The parents are to plead guilty to "improper
supervision", and will perform community service, attend parenting
classes, and give up their pets. They remain in jail pending a hearing
Jan 3, and the baby has been released from the hospital and is in the
care of a grandparent.
