http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5218546 A friend was sent one for each of her dogs. They are fun and well made. Plus, they are animal feet shaped rather than human. The woman making them individualized them according to the gift giver's directions. Our friend has a laid-back (for a rat terrier) dog named Daisy Mae and a zippy and fearless one named Zula, so the maker put a daisy on Daisy Mae's and a Z (like from Zorro) on Zula's. See if they remind you of the first Barbies as much as they do me! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5218546 In my list of ferret resources are links to vet lists (and lots more), including ones for California: http://homepage.mac.com/sukie/sukiesferretlinks.html Also, check out the magazines Ferrets USA Annual and Critters USA Annual because i think that both of those will have lists for you, Anonymous. Ferret with the neurological problem: Check the blood glucose levels. Two of the most common causes of the sorts of problems you mention are inner ear infections (usually fungal or bacterial secondary to ear mites) or the blood sugar being off. For ferrets that usually means insulinoma though diabetes does happen so testing is needed before treatment. The last time it is possible that the intestinal disorder was so interfering with food uptake that the glucose levels went low from that then resolved with the careful feeding. Three good places for you to start your reading are http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc/insulinoma.htm http://www.afip.org/ferrets/PDF/insulinoma.pdf http://ferrethealth.org/archive/ If those possibilities are not involved you will want to read up on things like ADV (Aleutian Disease), toxoplasmosis, and some other options which will show up when you use the FHL Archives.
