I just got back after spending several hours at Doug McKay's and would
like to give you an update.

First - Doug (himself) cannot physically get to the ferrets because he
has a blood clot in his leg.

Second - His granddaughter Katie, who for several years has been doing
the breeding and daily care will CONTINUE to do so.

Third - They are NOT going to euthanize or dump any ferrets (even the
older ones) if they do not find a home.

Fourth - Currently he has more ferrets to winter over this year because
his mother's produced bigger litters than normal.

Fifth - Just like most shelters and breeders; ferret adoptions and
sales have slowed down.

Sixth - A breeder out of state has made arrangements to come in the
next couple of weeks to get 400 to 500 ferrets.

Seventh - If you have any questions or concerns feel free to call Doug
at 419-253-1921 or Katie at 419-253-7222.

Eighth - If you forwarded the previous email message - please forward
this one.
