Musty Pete Greets Annie

One of our lost shelter ferts crossed the Rainbow Bridge at Christmas.
Annie was fortunate to have known love before she crossed over, the
wonderful folks at the shelter made sure of that. Annie had been a
recipient of some nice Christmas gifts thanks to the Santa programs
many shelters take part in over the holidays. She did get to see her
gifts before she passed and I know she appreciated them very very much.

Annie is up here with me now. She is amazed at how wonderful she feels.
All of her pain and discomfort is gone, all things of the past. She is
healthy and very happy. She was met at the Bridge by me and two of my
fert friends, Shiela and Shy-Girl. Annie did not know these girlie
ferts on Earth, but they became friends as soon as they met up here at
the Bridge. The three of them are quite the trio now, where ever you
see one you know the other two are not very far away.

It is always difficult to lose someone you care about, but for our
human friends I think it is most difficult during your holidays, it is
a special time when you are most giving, you open your hearts [and your
wallets] and give to those less fortunate... an admirable trait to be
sure.

And even though the lovely lady who requested Annie's greeting did not
know Annie, had never met her... she chose Annie to send special love
and gifts for Christmas and was indeed saddened to learn that Annie had
made her journey to the bridge. It is wonderful people like her that
makes life in a shelter not as bad or as sad or lonely as it could be.
It is because of people like this that shelter ferts know the love and
compassion of the human spirit.

So, to all of you who do give of yourselves during the holidays, I
would like to say Thank You. It means so very much to the ferrets who
receive the love you send and the joy you choose to share with them.

Happy Holidays,
Musty Pete
