Hi all,
Please see the forwarded email below. **SIGH** Is there anyone who can
help with this very sad situation. The ferrets are in the Greensboro,
NC area, I think.
Thanks! ~Tequita

1male - sable apprx 4 years old
1femle - white w/ black tail apprx 4 years old
Marshall Farms, pt bought from pet hobby shop about 3 years ago
Never been around children or other animals
Very sweet, they do not bite
They are bonded, must go together!
They have not been to a vet in a year due to pt's health
They have never had vaccinations due to fear of reaction (past
experince with another ferret)
Play times are 1 hour in morning, 1 hour in evening, 1 hour at night
then they are caged. They will use the litter boxes around the house
while playing, but accidents happen
Female will roll over, & sit up & beg for a cheerio - gets 1 daily.
Also is a sock lover
Male very fond of leather things
They have never been sick since she purchased them. Pt stated they have
a large cage. They seem to be very well taken care of.
Pt is very very upset to rehome them, but she is 70 years old w/ cancer
and her husband also has medical problems and they cannot take care of
them.
I just spoke with her, she needs immediate placement for them. Social
worker with hospice must be present when they are picked up due to very
emotional state over them leaving.
