TL, hi! What a great idea. I do not know if you are aware of the Ferret
Emergency Response, Rescue & Evacuation Team (F.E.R.R.E.T.). Our
website is at http://www.ferretemergency.org

F.E.R.R.E.T. has money in the Emergency Love Fund to help pay for vet
care for ferrets involved in disasters. We also have donations from
companies of food, cages, and from individuals of bedding and toys. We
have given much to individuals, especially in light of Katrina last
year. We also have fosters and transporters to help care for the
ferrets and to help reunite them.

We are trying to build up a network of people who can all work together
to help the ferrets. Something like this brochure is a great idea. It
would also help if you, and any other people who want to help, can
provide the information to us at F.E.R.R.E.T. so we can all work
together. We want to reach into every corner of the country to help. It
is not a few, but all of us together.

I want to invite you and everyone else, to join F.E.R.R.E.T. Just send
me your email addy and I will put you on the list. We want you to share
info about your local and state animal response team. Let's create
networks to help those out there who want to help our pets. We can
accomplish so much more together than anyone can alone!

TL, again, thanks for bringing this up!

It's amazing how much can be accomplished if nobody cares who gets the credit!
