There have been so many ferrets with cancer in this group that I'm
beginning to wonder if there is any kind of pattern emerging? Of the
ferrets who developed cancer, where did they come from? Was the cancer
spread evenly across all the various places people get ferrets (private
breeders, pet stores, Marshall Farms, etc) or is there a higher rate in
a particular coat color? Or is it too soon to say? Is there any group
out there collecting data on this? Does anyone out there do data
crunching like this, or know of anyone who does? I'd be willing to help
with the data gathering, if it would help define the cancer problem.
Suggestions?
