I can only give you my experience Debbie. Calvin probably contracted
adrenal disease when we moved from Maryland to sunny Arizona 2 years
ago. The sun is different here. We were careful of cage placement, and
covered their window and the cage from morning sun. However there is
always the possibility. About one and a half years here Calvin crashed
with insulinoma. That was the presenting symptom at the emergency
hospital. However, after 2 vet visits she also told us he had ulcers,
AND was adrenal. We had the melatonin implant put in, but his life
changed dramatically. Up to Oct. 31st he showed no sign of adrenal. He
had always had lesser hair since we adopted him in 2002, so I didn't
think it was unusual. No significant change after the move....so no
we didn't have symptoms.
