Ferrets from good breeders certainly do not need rescuing. Good
breeders breed ferrets because they love them and want to produce
quality ferrets. They are not going to kill or dump their kits if
they are not sold by a certain age.

As for "rescuing" from a petstore everyone is entitled to their
opinion. I personally don't consider supporting the sale of ferret
kits and supporting the commercial breeders (by putting money in their
pockets) to be "rescuing". For every ferret "rescued" from a petstore,
it just ensures another will replace them.
