the day before. Please consider emailing or snail-mailing to stop the
prairie dog poisoning. Prairie dogs are the primary food source for
black-footed ferrets in the area to be poisoned and through their
reduction/elimination from the area, the ferrets and countless other
predators will suffer significant losses. [...]45_25Oct200612:53:[log in to unmask] 0610 18795 14 20_Pumpkin Carving [OT]16_Alicia [log in to unmask], 26 Oct 2006 01:28:43 -0400203_- In keeping with the season...

First off I want to thank everyone who sent me ideas and thoughts in
terms of what my allergies might be from. We still don't know what is
causing it however it looks like it is not the ferret (thank god), as
I have begun having difficulties when I am away from home. The current
thought is it is either some sort of plastic that I have become
allergic to - or laundry detergent. [...]45_26Oct200623:50:[log in to unmask] 0610 18848 54 29_Insulinoma - advice is [log in to unmask], 26 Oct 2006 07:41:46 -0400564_- Hello to everyone. I am new to the list and was directed here by a
friend who is a subscriber.

My family and I are very concerned for our ferret Neo. He has been
diagnosed with insulinoma, and it may be fairly far along in its
progression. To complicate things, he also has ulcers, probably
resulting from the stress that the insulinoma caused before we knew
enough to take him to the vet and find out what was wrong with him.
He's 4 years old and had always been perfectly healthy and full of
energy. This all started about 2-3 [...]49_26Oct200607:41:[log in to unmask] 0610 18903 17 13_Card [log in to unmask], 27 Oct 2006 00:24:37 -0400288_- I would like to get back into the card exchange BUT since I Drive a truck I

Hello Everyone

It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Rebecca McFarlane
from Fort Wayne, Indiana has gone on before us to the Rainbow Bridge.
Rebecca was found by her husband this morning. She had passed away
sometime during the night. Rebecca was one of God's angels on earth who
took in ferrets no matter what their age or physical condition. At this
time she had 41 ferrets. She did this all on her own and was not an
"official" shelter. Her husband and daughter are going to try their
best to carry on with the care of those ferrets. Even today her husband
brought in a ferret for surgery. Their care was the most important
thing for Rebecca. Our vet, Kevin Cawood has asked me to let all of you
know about Rebecca's journey. He has grown to love and admire her and
these wonderful furrballs through the loving care that Rebecca has
shown over the last few years. If anyone would like to make a donation
of any kind in memory of Rebecca, you can send it to his clinic and
they will make sure that Rebecca's family, AKA, ferrets receive them.
Make sure that you specify that they are in memory of Rebecca.

Please remember to keep her family, furry and otherwise, in your
prayers. Rebecca has left a legacy of unconditional love and sacrifice
for her passion, the precious ferret.

May God Bless all of you who have given your hearts and souls to give
life and love to ferrets.

Pat and her uneven dozen (11)
