Following is news article in the Detroit Free Press Dated June 2, 2007
on page 8A.
CHECK YOUR TOOTHPASTE; IT MAY POISON YOU
The government warned consumers Friday to toss toothpaste made in China
because it may contain a poisonous chemical used in antifreeze.
The Food and Drug Administration said people should throw away
toothpaste with labeling that it was made in China. The alert says the
agency found the chemical in Cooldent/Fluoride, Cooldent Spearmint,
Cooldent ICE and Shir Fresh Mint Fluoride Paste....
So, not only is pet food contaminated, human food contaminated
(remember the spinich a year or two ago?), now our toothpaste could
be contaminated.
Write to your Congresspeople and Senators, to get off of their
legalistic butts and start doing something about all of the outsourcing
and uncontrolled importation of contaminated foods for pets, humans,
and other items like toothpaste, before China (or some other country)
kills all of us and our beloved pets.
Dooks to one and all.
