Deb, I agree, Kris and Mary went out of their way to provide this
loving service to the shelters out there. God Bless you both Kris &
Mary!

Now for the no-show Secret Santa's. Yes, we too didn't get Lucky's
Christmas from his secret Santa, but life goes on. Let me tell you a
story.....

Tweek was a sweet little sable girl who came to us back in June of 2005
with severe adrenal disease. Her owners had brought her in to have her
euthanized because they couldn't afford the surgery, our vet called us
and asked us if we'd take her here at the shelter, we did, and when
surgery for her adrenal disease was done, it was beyond hope so the vet
closed her up and sent her home to die. Maybe 2 months if we were lucky
the vet told us, that was back in January or February 2006. We were
more than lucky, she lived until November 9, 2006, when her disease
took her quietly and peacefully snuggled down in her favorite sack with
a full tummy, surrounded by those of us that loved her beyond words.

She was on the Tree and her secret Santa sent her gifts. But since she
was no longer here to make our days brighter, and Lucky's Santa was
unable to send anything, he received Tweeks gifts.

So, even though Lucky's Santa didn't send anything, Lucky was still
lucky and had a wonderful day.

I still haven't figured out who all the kids Santa's were, but I'm
working on video's to send to them privately, along with pictures that
they can print out and keep.

Now if I could just find a good card program that would allow me to
make these wonderful folks special cards from the kids I'd be in
heaven. We know that Tweek was with us as Lucky checked out and is
enjoying her gifts.

We have been so blessed with all the love and kindness the Secret
Santa's showed the kids here that we are unable to express it.

So, you Secret Santa's know who you are and we Thank You again from
the bottoms of our hearts.

Mary
