Sorry to (perhaps) add to the confusion, but it's actually the American
Humane ASSOCIATION
(http://www.americanhumane.org).
Like HSUS, EARS and several other national animal rescue groups, AHA
has a "big rig" fitted out for rescue and trained volunteers who will
go in, set up and operate an emergency shelter when requested BY A
LEGAL JURISDICTIONAL AUTHORITY. That was not the case in Ohio.
