Yes, I did contact Delta directly, as did others.  Apparently Delta
has not updated their website yet.  I also have been contacting other
airlines in the hopes that one of them would take ferrets in cabin.
This is what I've found (I'm still contacting other carriers):

- American Airlines-dogs and cats only
- Jet Blue Airways-dogs and cats only
- Continental Airlines-dogs, cats and pet rabbits
- US Airways-dogs, cats, fish and birds
- America West-dogs, cats, fish and birds (recently took ferrets off the
 list)
