You Lied
You swore you would love me
Three years before,
When you saw me playing
At the pet store.
You chose me,
You took me home,
And swore you'd never
leave me alone.
You promised to love me,
We would be friends,
I would be with you
Until the end.
You got tired of me
and shoved me aside,
You ignored my pleas
You lied.
I laid in my hammock
Which was dirty and worn,
My dooking subsided
My eyes forlorn.
Those days remembered
When I was adored,
Are now in the past
Because you got bored.
You broke your promise
You never really tried.
You broke my heart
Because you lied.
A once happy furball
That used to dook and dance,
I laid in my hammock
Begging for another chance.
My once happy, bright eyes
Turned dull and sad,
Why didn't you love me?
Was I that bad?
I felt so lonely,
I gave up and died,
You said you loved me
You lied.
