Way to go Alicia! What your saying is most defiantly true. Way in name
sake would you put cash in the McKay's hands, and take only a few
ferrets out. Way not Shut them Down Completely! If your going to work a
rescue then it needs to be done the right way. You never leave ferrets
or any other animal there to start the breeding process up again. You
close him down, press charges and head for court. Put these type people
in the publics eye. Get it into newspapers, news stations etc, what
ever you can do etc, etc. It's the animal that is suffering not the
people themselves.
Doug McKay's kids are in this for the business of selling, like all
commerercial businesses of breeding and pelting. They have been around
doing this for years, breeding, and selling. They love it when the
community gets so worked up that people are willing to pay for these
poor helpless animals so they can make room to start the process all
over again! The McKay's will never give up the business willingly.
Do the correct thing, rescue all minks and ferrets and close them down
the right way.
Mollie
