The former shelter mom of Ferret Waystation in Central Texas moved out
of state in Oct. 2005, and on Nov. 2, I officially took over operations
with our first rescue, Sammy, from our local animal control.  This past
weekend, our 53rd ferret was placed in a forever home.
 
I never dreamed that in 9 short months, we would place over 50 ferrets.
I had set what I thought was an aggressive goal of 40 the first year,
and we still have several months to go.
 
I appreciate the support I've received from the ferret community during
these first few months.  Many shelter moms gave me some great advice and
they continue to encourage as well as inspire me.  Several people have
donated proceeds from the sale of their items to our shelter, and I
appreciate it so very much.  Thank you all so much for your support.
