"It's time, it's time!!!" Baby calls joyously

"Time for what my little one?" I ask confused, there's not much that
gets this 6 1/2 year old ferret enthused!

"It's that special time of year Momma, inbetween treats and stockings"
she confides to me

"Do you mean Thanksgiving?" I ask amused

"Yes Momma, dat special time to be thankful for what we have all year"
she tells me delighted

"Let's not forget the people in this world that we're so thankful for"
I remind her

"Never Momma, I remember all the time. Like my fur sisters Mikette and
Jillie, I miss them so muches Momma, but I so thankful I had my ferret
sisters. They such good fur people to be thankful for" she says with a
wistful look on her little fur face

"Yes, they are good fur people" I say with a smile before adding, "and
we are so thankful for all the good people that care for all the little
fur ones that need them"

"Like our Jillie, right Momma, she was thankful for the furless people
that rescued her, and then found us, her forever family!" Baby says
triumphantly

"That's right my little Baby, she and so many other ferrets are
endlessly thankful for the kind souls who gave them so much to be
thankful for" I tell her

"Momma" she says slowly looking up at the night sky "Jillie must still
be saying her thanks to those bestest people. They must be hearin her
thanks all da time"

"I hope so little one" I tell her, also gazing upon the night's sky "I
hope so"

thanks of the little ones they care for everyday.
