Someone on another list told me someone posted about taking their
ferret to restaurants and to the opera! Hidden underneath clothing
of course! If I remember right, the ferret would come down the
shirtsleeves for a bit of a snack at the restaurant, and I believe
he just snoozed through the opera.

I once took my ferret into a store to make a quick purchase. He was
inside a rather large purse.

Where have you taken your ferrets?
