I will ask her if I can forward her unaltered and complete letter to
the FML, and if people can be allowed to forward it beyond.
 
Paraphrasing: the meeting is May 18th, is being held at the request of
3 other groups (AVMA, NASPHV, and one I don't know, the Council for State
and Territorial Epidemiologists) and is for information sharing only.  It
is not a policy setting meeting.
 
She also said that she has not been informed of a desire to discuss
ferrets by any of the groups who asked for the meeting.  Further, she
says that since the improvement to the Compendium of Animal Rabies
Control and Prevention that she thinks that most parts of the U.S.
now consider ferret to be domesticated pet species the same as dogs
and cats.
