Eye: buy some artificial tears (NOT the fancy things but plain old artificial tears) and try rinsing the eye with that, but be SURE to get a vet appointment. An eye injury usually calls for asking for an emergency appointment, even if that costs more. You said that you can't get your vet. Here are a few of the lists of vets so check those: http://www.supportourshelters.org (shelters and the vets they use) http://www.smartgroups.com/vault/ferrethealth/ReferenceShelf/FerretVets.htm http://ferrethealth.org/vets/ (Search by zip code, read FAQ first) http://www.quincyweb.net/quincy/vet.html http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc/vets.htm http://www.ferretcentral.org/for-others/db-vets.html http://www.ferretuniverse.com/index.html http://www.geocities.com/houseferrets13uk/Vets.html (UK vets) http://www.ferrets.org/Veterinarian_Listings.htm (British Columbia vets) http://www.ferretnews.org/clinic.html (California-specific) http://www.ferretsanonymous.com/medical.html (California) http://www.vetcontact.com/en/vet.php?k=91 (Specialists anywhere) You can also ask regional clubs, look in magazines, and do Google searches. Anyone have any cute pix of your ferrets in orange? ASPCA is collecting them for its 140th anniversary album: http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=140_photos They need a reminder of how loved ferrets are, I think.
