A petite albino girlie fert named Frosty crossed the Rainbow Bridge
recently. She had been ill and her Earth Mom Ann made a difficult
decision to help Frosty cross over.

Frosty is a pretty little thing, she is so happy and carefree, she has
a kind and gentle spirit. I met up with her on my way to The Meadows,
actually I was headed there to take a snooze in the grass --- one of my
favorite things to do --- and I met Frosty on the way. She was with her
very good friends Precious and Pebbles. I stopped for a few moments to
chat with them. Pebbles introduced me to Frosty.

"Mister Musty Pete! This is my bestest friend Frosty, she is 'new' up
here. She was just telling me and Precious about things back home on
Earth." said Pebbles

I shook her paw, saying, "Hello Miss Frosty, it's very nice to meet
you. How do you like it here at the Rainbow Bridge?"

She replied, "Well, everyone has been very nice to me, and it is so
pretty up here, I love all the beautiful flowers, and taking walks in
the woods and the waterfalls are one of my favorite places, most of all
I like all the other ferrets who are here, I have so many nice friends!
But I miss my Mom and Peanut."

She had a quiet but animated voice, she really is a cutie! "I am so
happy to hear that you have made some new friends Frosty." I said,
adding " Have you been to The Pool Of Remembrance yet?" Frosty shook
her head 'No', and said, "I heard about it but I haven't been there
yet."

"Well, you should put that on your "To Do" list...you can check on your
Earth Mom and your buddy Peanut. The Pool Of Remembrance allows us to
see those we love who are still on Earth, we can check on them to see
how they are doing. It always makes me feel so much better when I check
on my Earth family and Fancy Ferret...."

Frosty smiled and asked, "Who is Fancy Ferret, Mister Pete?"

I sighed, "Oh she is my true love. She still lives on Earth with my
human family. I miss her very much, but visiting her from The Pool
always makes me feel so much better, and for a while, I don't miss her
as much."

I got lost in thoughts of Fancy for a moment until Frosty spoke again,
"Mister Pete, Do all ferrets come here when they leave their Earth
families?"

I smiled at her, it was my wise old man ferret smile, and said, "Oh
yes, Sweetness. We all travel to this place, where we all wait to be
reunited with those we have loved and lost, and those that have come
here before us. That is the beauty of The Rainbow Bridge."

"So, one day Peanut will come here too?" she asked.

"Oh yes...and one day you will be reunited with your Earth family. All
of us will." I said.

Frosty smiled at the thought, then she said, "Thanks Mister Pete, I
feel a lot better now. I guess we should be going. Precious and Pebbles
are going to show me where the flutterbies fly."

"Well then," I said, "You should be going. Enjoy your day and I will
see you again, very soon."

Frosty gave me a quick hug, then turned to her friends and said,
"Let's go!"
