In the past 16 days Denise's Delightful Dookers Ferret Rescue has taken
in 13 new ferrets.

Out of the 13 all but 5 were relatively health;. but 2 were left in an
apartment with no food and water and in 8 inches of feces with maggots
in it. How they managed to make it...only God knows...(He was the one
taking care of them). Some very precious people who adopted 2 ferts from
DDDFR "happened" to be at the apartment complex where and when the 2 were
found and after cleaning up their small cage and feeding them, they
brought them over to DDDFR. They were in good shape for being left for
10 days;

I just got 3 in Wednesday night and they are in terrible shape....one
female has a tumor the size of a golf ball and a half and is dehydrated
and emaciated (no surgery can be done until she is healthy enough). The
male was on deaths door and I had to hydrate him and force feed him and
give him meds and took him to Terri's (Little Dudes Ferret Ranch) and she
did a SubCue on him....Boy did that help! The other little girl is just
a little emaciated...but doing well. I just got a phone call (6-16-06)
and a single ferret needs to be surrendered and it appears she has
adrenal cancer...another vet visit, another life to help.

NOW THE REASON FOR TELLING YOU ALL THIS IS >>>>>>>>>> DDDFR shelter
NEEDS DONATIONS AND COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP. I have 53 ferrets (I
have a full shelter plus one more coming in). 6 have costly healthy
issues(adrenal cancer & insulinoma), 2 are blind, 11 are personal, out of
the 3 new ones, 2 are at the point of needing meds, vet care and LOTS OF
LOVIN'....(will they make it? I'm not sure..but am doing everything in
my power to help them), and 31 are available for "forever" homes.

The vet bill came down a bit because I had to give them some $$ from my
home budget. The bill is still over $350 and now because I have these
hurting, abused ferrets that need to see the vet, the bill will get
bigger. and distempter vaccine is also needed.

I would really appreciate it if you would find it in your heart to send
a few dollars......don't think of it as supporting Denise's Delightful
Dookers Ferret Rescue....You're supporting those FERRETS that otherwise
wouldn't stand a chance at life!!!! I'll get off my soapbox now.
Thanks!! You can send $ to: Covington Veterinary Hospital 27045-174th
Place SE, Covington, WA 98042. 253-631-8616. My Client ID # is 9277,
under the namd Denise Cummings (Denise's Delightful Dookers)

I am trying to get my paypal doohickey on my website
swww.washingtonferret.com)...hopefully in the next couple of days I will
gi it on there. Thanks.
