[Left in 3 parts since they seem more or less discrete subjects. BIG]
We have not posted in quite some time, but the continuous postings and
seeming never ending of opinions and shelters closing their door well we
felt to post some suggestions to all on the FML on how effectively you
can do you part to assist a ferret shelter. Plus why a company may or
may not make donations to any shelter.
And for those to understand what is really involved in a shelter
operation and why some have a long time to get things in place.
What does it mean to be a ferret shelter? First off almost every shelter
will say its operated out of their home, they have full time jobs, and
well rest free time is caring for the ferrets. The stories behind what
is a ferret business? You have three just three ferrets you have a
business! Most shelters and rescue are way above that number. Already
mentioned they have full time jobs as well. Then add in many donations
are for a specific ferret or sponsoring a ferret or items for the ferret?
Then to be a licensed shelter and all the requirements behind that
there's another business!
Processing much needed things in materials, plain letters to gain
donations, website content, information, all business effective awareness
materials and then providing info out is lost because lack of help and
to much Business currently on the table to place whats priority and what
when I get to it.
So any shelter is operating three business every day! There is a extreme
tight ship to run. And priorities well are placed.
