Sukie~

First of all, THANK YOU. As usual, you responded to a post with
resources including links to the sources. I find this amazingly
refreshing; many people merely cite personal opinions without backing
up their comments (as most of the private emails I received from people
on the other list in question did), which makes it difficult to glean
helpful data. Most of the people from the other list who wrote me
privately at least were trying to help -- but few of them cited personal
experience or gave me quoted information or links where I could see what
they were referencing (I am in NO WAY slamming anyone; I appreciate the
fact that people responded to my query at all! Those who responded were,
mostly, very kind; they simply didn't give me any hard facts).
Conversely, most of the folks from the FML who responded to me privately
have either cited personal experience or offered references (thanks,
guys!!). They also have been very careful to tell me that they are not
vets nor "experts", but are kindly offering me their own experiences.

Secondly -- the first link, the one to Dr. Ruth Heller's post, is the one
that I recall reading last year. In fact, I had printed it out & I took
that info to my vet, who mixed the suspension for me back then. I truly
appreciate you including that link, though both links were terrific for
my purpose.

Thirdly, based on your information, I have been able to ascertain the
answer to my original question; namely, that Ivermectin is NOT used as
flea repellent. Thus, I need to find something that will be effective.
We've already tried Frontline Plus twice, and for the first time ever,
it didn't work on the kitties OR the ferts at all. :/

Thank you again for your research, your response, and your
clarifications. :)
