ADV info:
DEFINITELY read the article in the May/June issue of Ferrets Magazine!
I can not recommend it highly enough for the most comprehensive, up to
date, and comfortable read on ADV! Given how very particular I am that
is saying a huge amount!

One grape should not hurt (I hope.), but all should be aware that acute
kidney failure has been documented in ferrets (and some other animals in
Carnivora) who have had several grapes or raisins at one sitting. This
also means that it is important to make sure that these are not in
ferrets' stashes. See past FMLs by using the FML Archives (addy in
every day's header) to learn more. Esp. see Danee Devore's posts from
March 15th, 21st, and 22nd if I have the dates right for the most actual
information and links to more. I do not know if the effect is greater in
those who already have kidney disease, but the ferrets discussed did not.

Despite your ferret's hisses I am patting you on the back right now!

Yes, we have had ferrets who fed toy animals, and ticked them into the
bedclothes in cold weather. If you normally provide treats in one
location don't be surprised if your ferret brings that favorite toy to
get a treat when you decide that the ferret himself/herself has had
enough.
