There is a vet in PA would figured out how to fix these even when they
are beyond what a cast can help heal, working on a ferret (of some real
sweeties) who had congenital problems with both elbows so they failed
under normal stresses.  No one else could get them back in.
 
The vet is Judith Rutkowski, Allentown Animal Clinic (610) 434-4470
 
so your vet could call her for long distance consultation
 
She used hypodermic needles, plastic caps and wires to construct pins.
For that ferret the pinning construct did not even need to be in forever.
