Stephanie, the drooling MAY be a sign of a neurological problem.
Although the adrenals sit on the kidneys, most people do not realize that
they release hormones (adrenaline) into the body and that the release of
hormones is a neurological event (pituitary gland).  Check with your vet
to see if he thinks this may be the case.
 
This is a pretty simple explanation, but the endocrine system and I are
not on the best terms.  I can explain a little more in depth if we travel
to the limbic system!  ;-)
