Opinions and boycotts and well childish acts effect the donations!
Protest voice your self opinions, boycott or what ever then at the same
time requests a donation?  Place up information of concerns, experiences,
and not the hard core this one this or do not this or that is wrong.  All
manufacturers have community relations and make donations regardless of
tax deductible or not.  A shelter acting properly and providing their
info on the shelter with actual head counts and reason for their needs
well will get donations.  Do just ask and expect to receive with no
documentations to back up.  You will find more than what is asked for
in donation will come and they do support your efforts.  I receive all
sorts of support from the ferret businesses in the manufacturer but I
provide my facts proof and actaull requests what specifically I need.
My personal opinions well I do not publish or place any statements about
any business as it is wrong and not proper business ethics.
 
Operate with facts and provisions and send letters of inquiry to the
manufacturers they will respond and contribute based on operations info
you provide and as well if situations you voiced out on that was not
entirely true but make bad statements well why would you want a donation
if you hate or state how bad and want a boycott on us?
